General informations about the Teufelstisch

Location

The Teufelstisch is a rock formation in the Bodensee (Lake Constance) in the south of Germany ([Map of Germany], [Informations on the region of Lake Constance]). It is located near a town called Wallhausen. On top of the Teufelstisch is the navigational aid no. 22.

Topography

This is a Teufelstisch (Devils-Table) too, but unfortunately not in the Lake Constance, even not under water (but it would be very nice :-)).

Diving ban

Since 1979 ther exists an generic diving ban at the Teufelstisch, which was enlarged in 1992 [diving ban]. Violation of the diving ban will be punished up to 200.000 DM. At the moment there is a charge against the diving ban ([Newspaper] (German)).
